Online Sales
at HOCAPS International in London (United Kingdom)
We are looking for an enthusiastic online sales person to help build relationships with a travel guide and research internet platform and smaller regional and city Tourist Boards in the EMEA region. The primary sales will be for an annual Sponsorship.
This is a sales role with phone and email being to primary route to sales. Keeping an up to date record of all activity will also be essential in order to work effectively alongside other departments.
The candidate will need to be able to accurately forecast a pipeline of business to the Head of Destination Marketing Sales, as well as working closely with the Advertising Solutions and Operations team to make sure that bookings go live and are functioning correctly post sale.
The successful candidate must be:
- Creative, energetic and resourceful, and enjoy working in a highly entrepreneurial environment.
- Someone with fantastic sales and communication skills to allow working in various languages across different markets and taking the sales proposition to the Tourist Board clients in a way that is easy to understand.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively, negotiate and sell strategically is essential.
- Someone who is analytical, has a good understanding of online metrics and being able to work around these metrics as well as understanding the importance in the accuracy of the reporting that you do to management.
- Teamwork skills are essential, as is a sense of humour and passion for our business
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with excellent verbal communication skills and an assured phone manner.
- Knowledge of the travel industry and online sales is preferred.
- Good computer knowledge of software programs such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Highly effective at verbal and written communication, including the delivery of presentations is essential for success in this role.
- Fluency in English and at least one other language: German, French or Spanish would be great. A third is seen as a bonus.
- Experience selling to media agencies and clients to create multi market deals.
- Can be relied upon to ensure that projects within areas of specific responsibility are completed in an appropriate and timely manner and acknowledges mistakes, learns from those events and is able to move forward productively
- Identifies and analyzes problems; distinguishes between relevant and irrelevant information.
- Strong analytical skills: understands and utilizes metrics relevant to role
